X45 Challenge is the biggest CrossFit competition in Malaysia. Last year, Primal Ape CrossFit was declared as champions in the Team Category besting other athletes from Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

This year, Primal Ape CrossFit dominated once again as two of our teams ended up in podium finishes. The outstanding performance of Head Coach Trever Love, Coach Zoe Pond-McPherson and Grech Go  (Team Beauties and Z Beast) made them the champions in the team category while Coach Jude Michael Eslera, Coach Mizi Bruzola and Justin Hernandez (Team Primal Made) finished strong on the third spot.

Coach Zoe, who just came back from back to back solo wins said that competing and winning with a team is a different experience: “It’s more fun because you get to share the excitement. It also motivates me to work harder when I have people counting on me.”

For Coach Trever, a good team must be comprised of people who feed off each other’s positive energy and who believe and trust in one another. “I couldn't have asked for better teammates than Zoe and Grech. Each of us filled in the blanks and constantly pulled energy from each other. Pushing each other. Trusting each other”, he said.

Homegrown Primal Ape CrossFit athletes Andre Ramirez, Edz Baltazar and Badit Cuazon together with Coach Anton Sietereales competed and delivered well in their respective categories.

“Coming in at 22nd during the qualifiers and ending in 16th place happy and free of injury would not be possible if not for Primal Ape’s smart programming. I would cherish our days in x45 Challenge for the rest of my life!!!” said Badit.

Congratulations coaches and athletes! Primal Ape CrossFit Family is proud of you!
