Definitely a day rife with show of strength, endurance, and agility for the tons of participants of the Manila Throwdown Team Edition 2016, and The FitTest 2016. It was also a momentous day for the Primal Ape community with its coaches dominating the podium in the competitions.

“Team Shrug Life”, composed of Primal Ape CrossFit Coach Anton Sietereales and Coach Zoe Pond McPearson, together with Coach Justin Hernandez, defended their title as the Champions of Manila Throwdown Team Edition 2016, last November 5 at The Tent, Acasia Estates, Taguig City. Coach Jude Eslera’s "Team Avante Garde” finished in second place.

“It is a lot better the second time around. It is such a privilege to team up with the fittest male and female in the Philippines ranked by @crossfitgames. Awesome to share the WOD floor with you guys @zoepmcp @justigas. Back to back champions for @manilathrowdown Team Edition 2016” said Coach Anton.

“Team Primapes” composed of Primal Ape CrossFit Head Coach Trever Love, Coach Chris Hernandez and Coach Joanne Samson also made a podium finish, landing on third place at The very first FitTest Competition organized by Affiliate Alliance, held at TESDA Gym, Taguig City.

Beaming with pride, of course! All of us, Primal Ape CrossFit coaches, podium (finished) today. These badasses are my idols. Love you guys!”, Coach Joanne exclaimed as they bring along with them

Coaches said that they were overwhelmed by the support of the Primal Ape community who showed up and cheered for them all throughout the event.  “The win wouldn’t have happened without the loud cheers and support from the Primal Ape family” they said.

Other than the coaches, Primal Ape also sent out its home grown athletes to battle it all out in the competitions. The community beams with pride with:

Team #DJMaeFlex with Demothenes Juanatas Jr, Mae Vinas and JP Barasona

Team Cardio is Hardio with Victor Delos Reyes and Alex Carino

Team Primal Unicorns with Ken Caoyanan, Badit Cuason and Jay Pantangco

#TeamJured with Genesis Irao, Andre Ramirez and Eds Baltazar

“Always make it a mission to be the best coach in the world and always coach your athletes from a position of humility. Humility will get both you and your athletes, the best information available on how to become fit." Coach Anton’s advice to other coaches and athletes.
