Primal Ape Crossfit's Team Grit & Grind delivered a top-level performance at the X45 Challenge held in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia last August 22 to 23, 2015 snagging first place in the Team Open category.
Comprised of Joanne Samson, Phil Pratte, and Grech Go, the competitive athletes give their all whether it's a massive competition or just at the training box, making it a point to push themselves to the limit every single time. "Competing just gives you this rush that you cannot find anywhere else," they said.
Self-confessed CrossFit addicts, these three have entirely changed their lifestyles. From planning out their day to choosing the food to eat and after-office night outs, they make sure that they're making the right decisions for their fitness.
"CrossFit is addicting; maybe the best type of addiction. How can it not be when it makes you look good naked?" It's certainly always at the back of their minds whenever they make decisions that will have an effect on their lifestyle and fitness.
What’s their motivation to do well and win? Pride. Not for themselves, more for each other. The team spirit is so strong they strive to do what's best for the team. "We work harder so we do not disappoint the team. We would rather disappoint ourselves than let the team down."
